Daniel has ten years experience having worked in the Australian and PNG offices to two large multi-national legal firms. He is also a published author with CCH (a Wolters Kluwer business) and continues to provide written commentary on PNG law.
Having spent his childhood in Papua New Guinea, Daniel speaks Tok Pisin fluently. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, advice in relation to mining and energy resources, preparing certifications for foreign-owned companies and commercial negotiations.

With ten years experience, Anna practices in the commercial litigation section, and regularly appears as Counsel in Court. Her main practice areas include judicial review of administrative actions and commercial and property litigation. Anna has a deep understanding of the administrative structures and the political system of Papua New Guinea.

Amira practices in our commercial team. She has extensive experience in commercial and intellectual property law, including drafting and advising clients on contracts, settlement deeds, loan agreements, shareholder’s agreements and advising and acting in relation to domain name infringements.
As a commercial property lawyer, Amira has experience in management rights, commercial leases, retail shop leases, put and call option agreements, off the plan contracts, vacant land sales and subdivisions.

Alu practices in the commercial litigation section of the firm. He received a broad training and now practices in the insurance and banking fields. He also is an expert in the arcane art of recovery of legal costs following litigation.

Benjamin practices in the general and commercial litigation sections. He originally trained at a large Australian international firm before joining O’Briens.
Flora has spent over 19 years in a variety of commercial litigation roles with several firms. Her meticulous attention to detail in claims preparation and discovery ensures that client interests are advanced in the best possible manner.
Maika has spent over 15 years dealing with property and banking transactions. Previously he worked in the securities preparation department of Papua New Guinea’s largest bank, Bank of South Pacific.
Josephine is the Chief Operating Officer. She originally trained and entered the British Civil Service before being transferred to Papua New Guinea with her husband 40 years ago. She has become fluent in many local languages and has a unique understanding of the environment in which the firm operates.
